Life is often difficult

October 2, 2015

Life is often difficult. Yet in the midst of such, we have the assurance that the Lord is with us. We need to practice spiritual disciplines in the midst of the difficulties of life so we can know the presence and the power of the Lord in our daily lives in spite of the adversities that confront us.

The message of God’s Word is that He is able to carry us through no matter the distress confronting us and attempting to capsize our faith. Our Lord Jesus Christ carried the cross, and sufferd and died on it for your redemption. Now He is resurrected, and for His glory, He will also carry you. Dadiel 3:17 declares “If that is the case, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace and He will deliver us from your hand O king.” Paul declares in 2 Corinthians 9:8 “And God is able to make all grace abound toward you that you always having all sufficiency in all things may have abundance for every good work.”

Improving, Not abandoning, Residential orphan care

There are more than 150,000,000 orphaned children in the world. These kids, who have been separeted from their parents by death, abandonment, imprisonment or displacement, are the most vulnerable population in our world.

They live each day at high risk of sexual and economic exploitation, disease and even death. A crisis so vast and complex it requires a wide variety of solutions. We acknowledge the value of all kinds of organizations working at every point along the spectrum of care, from vilage-level poverty reduction and healthcare to kinship and foster care and adoptive placement.

Focusing on the most vulnerable

We at N.H.O have chosen to focus on one specific group of orphaned kids-those who cannot be safely or successfully reintergrated into their famillies or communities of origin. We believe that these children are served poorly by the institutional models, which fail to meet a child’s greatest need a stable, loving family that can provide long-term care support.

Improving, Not abandoning, Residential orphan care

We believe that we are creating a practical model that can be multiplied across the world and used by countless churches, local communities and child-care organizations. By fixing residential orphans care, rather than abandoning it, we can rescue and restore millions of children as God intended: within the context of loving family.

Raising children to be Independent Adults

We are raising these children to be functional, independent adults ready to support themselves in their home countries. Most will get jobs, mary and have children. Several already have hopes of working for New Hope for Orphans or in other ministries in the future to provide for other children in need in their local communities.

We believe that we are raising the next generation of leaders in Cambodia or other parts of the world. Children who will not only reach their own personal potential, but will work to rebuild and reform their home contries fro inside out.

THE FIVE NHO YOUTHS RETURNING TO CAMBODIA

Three months ago the five people out of NHO went to USA to study and to get internship on their skills. As the result, we can see they have struggled and persisted confidentially to absorb all the learning lessons to develop their coutry and organization. They will be partnering with the organization to work in the purpose of rescuing the orphaned and abandoned children who suffer by abuse and abandon to restore their hope. Beside study, they have received a good care and comfort from our overseas brothers and sisters.

Three months ago the five people out of NHO went to USA to study and to get internship on their skills. As the result, we can see they have struggled and persisted confidentially to avsorb all the learning lessons to develop their country and organization. They will be partnering with the organization to work in the purpose of rescuing the orphaned and abandoned children who suffer by abuse and abandon to restore their hope. Beside study, they have received a good care and comfort from our overseas brothers and sisters. They get an extra-course to know about the development of America. In America, they have visited many places which are the developed zones such as cultural, resort, economi, and high technology areas. Today, their returning day is coming closer. They will share what they have learns to serve their people in Cambodia.

Here in Cambodia, NHO hopes all of them will try to put themselves into practices and pay attention at teaching from the teachers and come back with a good safety and succeed. They will gain more interests and favorite from theachers, churches, sponsors, and leaders who put their trust and hope on them who will become a productive learner to rebuild and hope for Cambodian near the future. Moreover, after their returning to Cambodia, It is a bridge for the next generation to have a chance to go there and get experienced as them. The five of them are the first batch in New Hope Organization going outside world. NHO hope they will be a good example for giving another chances to other children in NHO to go oversea as them and come back safely and successfully.

Thanks be to God who wonder and mighty for having a heart for the orphaned and abandoned children to stand up and to be honored in Cambodia as the Bible said in Psalm 40: 1-3 saying, “ I waited patiently for the Lord; he turned to me and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; he set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand. He put new song in my mouse, a hymn of praise to out God. Many will see and fear and put their trust in the Lord.” Specifically, if we look to the society in Cambodia, there are many people who don’t care, love, and nurture in these children becauce they come from the low status and inferior. They aue useless and undervalue. Nonetheless, our God loves everyone equally. Everyone is so precious before God although they come from different background and life situations. They were formed by the Word of the Lord.

Siem Reap Building Dedication

The building was authorized and dedicated to be used for 33 kids. The purpose is to rescue children who are orphaned in Cambodia. NHO will provide food, shelter, clothes, healthcare, and education to all of the children who are under the care of NHO. We come to this point of view today because the Lord Jesus Christ is center of all.

On April 5th 2014, in the morning, the building dedication of the 12th branch of New Hope for Orphans (NHO),  called ¨Siem Reap children’s home¨, located in the suburbs of Siem Reap City, was celebrated and the home allowed to open to be officially used today onwards. All of the guests came on time as invited. The program started at 9:00 and finished at 11:00 in the morning. During the program, we sang praise and worship songs. Two dances were performed by the Sr children. All of the honorable guests took turns in coming up to the stage and spoke about the good things and great day of the building cceremony opening. Ps. Mathew Geppert was invited to pray for the closing of the celebration. Afterwards, we had a home tour for a while. At the end of the program, we asked the honorable overseas and local guests to cut the ribbon together and had a farewel party together before leaving.

Farm Support for self-sustainability

The children’s future depends on the ability of New Hope for Orphans (N.H.O) to discern what God sees in and about them. All the children who live under the care of N.H.O usually have their basic needs met. They experience a loving home and family, education, counseling, health and medical care, dental care, physical therapy and spiritual development through God’s word from the Holy Bible. N.H.O aims to do beyond the above help for their physical and spiritual needs to accomplish the dreams of an individual child for the best reach of their future.

For a long term running of the orphanage ministry, N.H.O has decided to build self-sustainability programs through agriculture. From the profit of this farm business, it will go directly to support the orphans and home development in the future and also other NHO ministries in Cambodia.

Our plans and strategies need in God’s perfect timing. Now it’s a time. He will do all thing happended in His schedule timing if we trust and believe that in God all things are possible. His time is perfect and matches with the plan of people who have an opened heart to be used by him to meet the need of the orphans andtheir furture at the right time and place.

In August 2014, Julius George’s family has puchased a piece of 75 hectors of the farm land for N.H.O. Recently, on that piece of land, N.H.O has started to plant rice, Star Sacha Inchi ( the star anise fruit), digging ponds to store water for multiple purpose of using for watering plantation, and raised fish.

In January 2015, the BROWN-FORMAN company who cheerfullly and faithfully supports the development of N.H.O has made a donation to meet an urgent need of the children in NHO-Kampot Home, in Nho-Siem Reap Home, and the farming project (Cow Raising; 50 cows) of NHO to be able to self-sustain. We believe that in the nearest future there will be a lot of cows prodiced and multiplied from those, 50 cows. By the way, N.H.O will earn a profit to support the ministries and be able to be stand firm for any crises that might appear unexpectedly.

Thanks you so much for willing to use by God to fulfill and bring the plan of N.H.O in reality. Your generosity is truly a blessing to the children and N.H.O ministries. May the Lord bless your hands, business and family. The Lord will sustain you with hgis abundant blessing as you have blessed the children.
